Anyone who has seen enough Darby Allin matches by now knows that the AEW star likes to live on the edge, something that has people shivering with anticipation ahead of Allin stepping into Blood & Guts for the first time this evening. For all the craziness Allin has done though, the number one moment for many occurred earlier this year at AEW Revolution, where Allin attempted a Swanton Bomb off a ladder that ended with him landing through glass.

El movimiento dejó a Allin sangrando profusamente por la espalda y el costado, requiriendo varios puntos de sutura y vendajes, creando una de las imágenes más horripilantes en la historia de AEW. Pero según Allin, en una entrevista con Sports Illustrated, no sentía un dolor considerable a causa del golpe.

“Ir a través del vidrio fue bastante tranquilo”, dijo Allin. “Luego el árbitro me preguntó ‘¿Estás bien?’ Tenía un gran agujero en el costado. Me corté bastante, y tuvieron que vendarme. Los puntos y las grapas me mantuvieron unido, lo cual fue molesto, pero por lo demás, no me dolió”.

La importancia de no pensar demasiado

Allin asegura que antes de hacer el movimiento, se aseguró de actuar lo más rápido posible, en lugar de quedarse pensando en las consecuencias.

El uso de vidrio real

Allin también confirmó que utilizó vidrio real, no vidrio de azúcar, y explicó la razón detrás de esta elección.
