Everyone was part of a special moment in Miami on Friday evening, as the Inter Miami CF Academy launched its first ever Youth International Cup and it was an even more special moment for Lionel Messi.
Even though this tournament is not suited for the international Argentinian soccer star, he shared something he would remember for the rest of his life, as his son Thiago stepped on the pitch for the debut of the U-12 team he is on.
During the pregame ceremony, Lionel walked out of the tunnel as he usually does, but this time he was accompanying his son for the lineup introduction. Interesting enough is the fact that his longtime teammate and friend, Uruguayan star Luis Suárez lead Orlando City U-12 on to the pitch.

La primera Copa Internacional Juvenil de la Academia Inter Miami CF se llevará a cabo durante el fin de semana del Día de los Caídos, del 24 al 27 de mayo. Los partidos y finales se jugarán en el Florida Blue Training Center en Fourt Lauderdale, así como en instalaciones/complexes en Ft. Lauderdale, Davie, Plantation y Coral Springs.
Esto también ayudará a desarrollar el fútbol juvenil en Florida, ya que la organización está tratando de cumplir sus objetivos de competir en niveles más altos con otros equipos de la Major League Soccer en su camino para convertirse en una organización de primer nivel en cada etapa del juego.
La Copa Internacional Juvenil de Inter Miami CF
estará abierta para equipos de niños y niñas desde U9 hasta U19 y ofrecerá cuatro niveles de competencia. MLS Next (U14-U19), Oro, Plata y Bronce. El torneo juvenil atraerá a equipos de toda Florida, Estados Unidos e internacionalmente.
